The Marshall High School girl’s basketball team looked like a completely different program in their summer league loss against Tatum.

Yes, the team fell 35-26 to the Lady Eagles but they faced a team returning majority of their starters and one of the Class 3A powerhouses.

The Lady Mavericks are coming off a season where they went 4-15 overall and 0-15 in Class 5A District 10 play. With the running clocks of summer league and two halves, the total time amounts of approximately what one half would be.

Marshall struggled with getting close into the 20 point range in a regular season game last year. Showing they have the ability to get there with a running clock already shows the work and growth new head coach Kris Wade has put into these girls.
