The 63rd annual Charity Horse Show, hosted by the Marshall Lions Club, is set March 6 and 7 at Marshall City Arena.

The two-day charity show is the longest-running horse show in East Texas, according to the Lions Club.

Festivities will begin at 10 a.m. on March 6 and 7.

The show will feature Tennessee Walking Horses, Paso Finos and more than 90 competitive classes showcasing skill, beauty and horsemanship, according to the club.

The event is free and open to the public at the arena, 3310 Poplar St.

Proceeds from the show will support the Marshall Lions Club’s annual scholarship program, eyeglass vouchers for residents in need, Mission Marshall’s Read-to-Ride program and other community service initiatives.

“This event represents more than competition — it represents community,” said Lions Club member Robert Wood. “For 63 years, the Horse Show has helped us serve Marshall and invest in our future.”
